Jeff Nocella - Director of Development
Jeff Nocella is an experienced renewable energy professional with nearly 20 years of expertise in commercial and industrial solar development. Since March 2023, he has guided Bala Energy’s growth by building strong customer relationships and delivering tailored solar solutions for businesses across the United States.
Jeff began his solar career in 2009, specializing in Power Purchase Agreements throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Before founding Bala Energy, he served as Vice President at Dynamic Energy, where he supported the company’s growth and the development of commercial and industrial solar projects nationwide.
Throughout his career, Jeff has worked with more than 65 clients on projects representing nearly $150 million in total value. His experience spans project origination, financial structuring, engineering, construction, market strategy, and operations.
Jeff studied finance and entrepreneurship at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Kelly, and their three children, Ben, Mary Kate, and Nick. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, travel, cooking, real estate development, and Philadelphia sports.

Ian is a proven management consultant bringing over 30 years of diverse management and operational experience to his role as Director of Operations at Bala Energy. His career spans commercial solar development, residential and commercial construction, management consulting, and corporate cost accounting, equipping him with a unique blend of technical, operational, and business expertise.
Most recently, Ian served with Johnson & Johnson, where he managed a global initiative to measure customer and product profitability across the Medical Device and Consumer divisions.
Previously as a Management Consultant with Acorn Systems, he led consulting teams, drove business development, and implemented cost and profitability management systems for Fortune 500 clients in healthcare, distribution, retail, and financial services. He completed 24 successful software implementations and advised executives on strategies to improve profitability through cost and performance insights.
Ian resides in Devon, PA with his family.

Manoli brings more than 12 years of technical, hands-on solar industry experience to Bala Energy. Throughout his career, he has delivered over 20 megawatts of installed solar across a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, and community solar projects nationwide.
Before joining Bala Energy, Manoli served as Director of Operations at Dynamic Energy Solutions in Wayne, Pennsylvania. In this role, he led project delivery for U.S.-based commercial and industrial solar installations, establishing company-wide safety protocols, managing subcontractors, overseeing engineering and technical due diligence, and guiding projects through design, interconnection, permitting, procurement, construction, and long-term O&M.
Prior to Dynamic Energy, Manoli served as Director of Operations at Keares Electric in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. There, he built and trained the company’s solar installation team, managed engineering functions, and implemented safety and quality standards while supporting the successful deployment of commercial and community solar systems.
At Bala Energy, Manoli leads all aspects of project delivery, ensuring each system is engineered, constructed, and commissioned to the highest technical and safety standards. His depth of experience, field-tested judgment, and commitment to operational excellence make him an invaluable leader for Bala’s growing portfolio of distributed energy projects.

Alex is responsible for Sales Operations at Bala Energy, focusing on identifying and originating new business opportunities. He brings a data-driven mindset and a strong interest in alternative energy and sustainable development, helping drive growth and support clients navigating the evolving energy landscape. In addition, Alex supports operations across the business to better meet customer needs, while tracking policy developments that enable Bala Energy’s clients to capitalize on new and emerging market opportunities.
